A well-established wood manufacturer in Bulgaria has diversified its operations by entering the ready-mix concrete sector, responding to growing regional demand driven by ongoing construction activity.
After closely observing the performance of ELKON plants operating in the area, the company selected the ELKOMIX-135 QUICK MASTER compact concrete batching plant for its proven efficiency, compact footprint, and reliable performance in demanding conditions.
Designed to meet the needs of modern construction projects, the plant combines fast installation with an optimized layout, ensuring streamlined operations and high productivity. It features fully galvanized aggregate bins with a total capacity of 4 x 32.5 yd³ (approx. 140–160 tons of aggregate storage capacity), offering long-term durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. With a minimum loading width of 11.5 ft per bin, aggregates can be easily loaded by wheel loader via a compact ramp, improving site logistics and operational efficiency.
The system is supported by three 110-ton (approx. 800 bbl) bolted-type cement silos, ensuring continuous material supply for uninterrupted production.
At the core of the plant is the ELKON twin shaft mixer, delivering up to 160 yd³/hour of concrete production capacity. This setup provides consistent mixing performance and high-quality output suitable for infrastructure, industrial, and ready-mix applications.
This investment enables the customer to increase production flexibility while maintaining high quality standards, supporting its successful transition into the concrete industry.
